What I Wore | Houndstooth Cigarette Trousers

"Do that sassy thing with your hair" - Hannah

Looking vaguely uninterested
Clearly wasn't fed up of trying to think of poses or anything (ahem)

Do you see now why I have an issue with boots/ankles, as mentioned in this post? (Gross tiny ankles, gross.) But these berries mean autumn which means nearly winter which means Christmas, YAY

Hannah getting all artistic with the macro details, ooh la la

He begs to be in all my posts, honestly
These Topshop houndstooth print trousers had been hanging in my cupboard, labels still intact for the last few weeks whilst I tried to pluck up the courage to wear them. For me, they're pretty garish (is that the right word?) - I very much tend to rely on wearing my Joni jeans on rotation! But, after finally forcing myself to wear them  for a day and quite possibly burning the eyes of my fellow sixth-formers with the pattern, I am now completely obsessed with them! Being monochrome I guess they're still pretty 'me'. These are also incredibly comfortable, I think loose fitting trousers are perhaps my new way forward! Watch out Topshop, I'll be coming soon to stock up on lots more cigarette trousers (apologies to my purse).

In the first picture you can see my Zara bag, which featured in my Brighton haul post. Oh gosh, let me tell you WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT that was! I was super excited about buying this but after just one day back at school the zip broke. Three weeks after (the day after these photos were taken) the handle literally FELL OFF. What a waste of £30! Bags and I just do not seem to be compatible. Perhaps a briefcase is the way forward for me...

Jumper - Vero Moda @ Asos - £20
Trousers - Topshop - £42
Bag - Zara - £29.99
Shoes - Bought years ago, New Look maybe?
Watch - Marc Jacobs

September Pick | Primark's Coats

Let me begin by apologising massively for the ridiculously grainy images. Bad quality photos are a pet hate of mine but let me fabricate some excuses for this - my poor camera was trying its best and considering it was 8PM and actually very dark, I guess you could say the outcome is not all that bad. I have to admit that I'm finding juggling Pastel Clouds work, blogging, having a social life (HA) and studying for AS levels preeeetttty difficult (what a wimp, it's only the second week back at school hahaha) so these photos were a little bit rushed (sorry, sorry, sorry!). If you're new here, I promise my other posts won't look like this!

Anyway, I wanted to do a little post on these coats because aren't they AMAZING?! I've fallen completely in love with these and am absolutely amazed that they are Primark - they could easily be in Topshop for triple the price! For just £23 these are an absolute steal and I'm pretty sure they'll be featuring in many more posts! If there's one thing I've learnt, it's that if you find the coat you've got to have both colours. My poor, poor friends had to listen to me moan for weeks whilst I desperately searched the country (okay, only four Primark stores, shh) for the pastel blue version, which can I just add, is my absolute favourite colour!

So, what I want to say is Primark, I LOVE YOU. These coats make me crave cold weather (something which I never thought I'd say).

What I Wore | WalG and a cat

Let's pretend that I didn't lose the thumb nail

Sincere apologies to those of you with Podophobia, hahah

Coming home to find this beauty of a jumpsuit from WalG was a pretty great surprise (and much needed after an hour of history, yawn). This jumpsuit is something a little out of my comfort zone but that's exactly why I chose it. After realising that all my clothes are the EXACT same just a different colour/pattern/brand, I've decided to start trying to mix-up my style a little.

This WalG jumpsuit is pretty fabulous, I must say. It's slouchy making it super comfortable but the material and cut helps it look less like pyjamas and more like let's-go-for-dinner. It possibly was made for someone slightly taller than me (a problem I find fairly often, cry) but there's nothing a pair of heels can't almost fix (especially when they're £9 and in the sale!).

I decided to keep this look pretty minimal and let the jumpsuit be the centre-of-attention. I went for simple black and gold accessories - my Marc Jacobs watch (which I finally found in the bottom of my drawer, yaaay!) and Pastel Clouds knot ring. Also, how cool are these nails?! Not bad for a £3.99 Little Mix set, eh?

Jumpsuit c/o WalG - £30
Shoes - New Look (sale) - £9
Watch - Marc Jacobs - £180
Ring - Pastel Clouds - £3.69
Nails - Little Mix @ Savers - £3.99

What I Wore | Angles at Brighton Pier

Why is it that I forget how to smile as soon as a camera is pointed towards me? Hmmm
A quote from my super kind sister, "Ew, your toes are so ugly, hide them in the stones" (she has a point)
Thank you Mr Ted Baker for creating this beauty
Pandora's birthstone ring, as seen in my previous haul post.
Here we have yet another Brighton post. I'm so sorry, I promise the Brighton spam will be over shortly my loves! Here I'm wearing a super colourful outfit, as always (*sarcasm*). I can't help it when it comes to monochrome, black and white are both just so easy to wear and go with everything

I wore this off the shoulder crop top with these patterned skorts, both from Miss Selfridge. I'm majorly crushing on everything in Miss Selfridge at the moment, evidently! I love the shapes and all the angles on this top and skorts  (I know what I mean but I can't put it in to words, sighh). I think they make a super pretty twist on some basic pieces and are so easy to wear.

I of course teamed these with my new best friend a.k.a my Ted Baker bag. The temptation to include this in every post is so strong, I must learn to resist!

Top - Miss Selfridge - £10
Skorts - Miss Selfridge - £35
Shoes - Primark - £4
Ring - Pandora - £40
Bag - Ted Baker - £199

Haul | Brighton

As I mentioned in my last post, I recently visited Brighton and picked up a few bits in the shop. I'm going to try not to ramble on too much on this post - after all, the pictures are pretty self-explanatory!

My darling Ted Baker bag - you can see me confess my love for this in my previous post
(Ted Baker - £199)

A new bag for sixth form which I now realise will be too small for the FOUR ring binders we have to carry around (?!). But, a bag for £30 in Zara seemed like too rare an opportunity to miss!
(Zara - £30)

My nearest TIGER store shut down a few years ago but Brighton had not just one but TWO stores. Dream come true. TIGER sells the strangest mixture of the most  wonderful items, all super cheap so I picked up a pretty weird variety of things!
(Tiger - each £1 - £3)

This foundation has transformed my life (I'm not at all overdramatic) and I'm now on my third bottle. Best stuff ever! I also got the eyeliner free with my Boots points card (yipee!).
(Boots - £3.99 - £8.99)

I'm the biggest sucker for miniatures so I just couldn't say no to these adorable new mini pigments! Plus, the Mac lady gave me this mini primer for free - WIN.
(Mac - £10 each)

My sixth form has a LOT of uniform rules (Skirts to the knee, no shorts, no strappy tops, no halterneck tops, no strapless tops, no ripped jeans, etc...). But, I'm determined not to wear jeans every single day so I got these patterned leggings (Treggings? They're pretty thick) which, being monochrome, ticked all the boxes for me!
(Miss Selfridge - £22)

These shorts and boots which you can read about in my last post, here
(Topshop - £34)
(H&M - £29.99)

This Pandora ring was a post-results gift from my mum - isn't she sweet?! I'm well aware that I'm pretty late on the bandwagon with this one but it's so beautiful that I really don't mind!
(Pandora - £40)

Which is your favourite item? Let me know in the comments!

What I Wore | A Rainy Day in Brighton

I visited Brighton for a few days and a lot of shopping happened! This trip was post-exam-results and what better excuse to do some serious celebratory money-spending..?! I always think it's so lovely to shop somewhere different and Brighton was the cutest, despite it raining almost every day (just my luck really).

I always think it's a great sign when you buy something new and instantly want to wear it. I bought these shorts whilst in Brighton and just had to wear them the next day. Patterns are so not me, but I completely fell for these! They seem like the perfect transitional piece for autumn - still cool and light but with gorgeous autumnal colours and perfect teamed with tights.

I also bought this amaaazing Ted Baker bag whilst there and it's 100% fair to say that this is the new love of my life! I've been lusting over the Ted Baker bags forever now and I just couldn't leave this beauty behind! It's just completely and utterly perfect - even the inside is beautiful! (Do I sound crazy?)

Finally, these boots were yet another Brighton purchase. I find boot shopping to be such a nightmare - my ankles are probably the size of most people's wrists (gross) so ankle boots never look right on me. But, these seem to fit pretty well so I was chuffed! And, just £30 for a pair of boots made me a very happy girl.

Jumper - Missguided
Shorts - Topshop - £34
Bag - Ted Baker - £199
Boots - H&M - £29.99
Rings - Pia, Pastel Clouds - £20, £3.89
